Scientific diving lighthouse: lighting designed for underwater observation

A scientific diving light is more than just an exploration lamp. At Bersub, it is designed to meet the needs of organic divers, underwater photographers/videographers and all those who have to watch, document or analyse the marine environment with precision. From over 30 years, Bersub designs and assembles in France diving lights robust, watertight and adapted to uses specialised.
Among this range, certain models are specifically classified as «diving lights".« Scientist ». They offer specific light spectrums - fluorescent blue, ultra-violet, infra-red or neutral white - to reveal details invisible with a conventional headlamp.

The uses of a scientific diving lighthouse

Lighting in this category includes LED modules dedicated to scientific spectra, as well as compact lamps that can be used for’comment or taking technical images underwater.
The fluorescent modules can be used to highlight the fluorescence underwater, which is very useful in marine biology for spotting morphological details, observing fixed organisms or taking fluorescent images.
The infrared modules, These meet more specific needs, such as working on a particular wavelength or limiting the use of visible light.

These lights are suitable for :

  • the study of fauna and flora in nocturnal conditions; ;
  • scientific documentation (photo or technical video) ;
  • targeted exploration requiring a specific spectrum ;
  • UV, fluorescent or IR analysis of underwater elements or surfaces.
  • Modular, versatile solutions

The Bersub fluorescent and IR heads can be mounted on compatible headlight bodies via the Connect-System, enabling the configuration to be adapted to the scientific mission being carried out.
This category also includes compact lamps that can be used as a complement for observation, the highlighting a detail or support for a specialised shooting.

Choosing your scientific diving light

The choice depends mainly on :

  • of the required light spectrum (fluorescent, UV, IR, neutral white) ;
  • the type of observation or imaging planned ;
  • compatibility with your configuration or headlamp body.

This category includes Bersub lighting specifically designed for scientific uses, in order to guarantee accurate observation and a faithful reproduction underwater environment.
