The unit is designed for use underwater (at depths of up to 200 m), but is also useful on the ground.<\/p>\n
The LS device or its derivatives is made up of 2 distinct sub-assemblies:<\/p>\n
- firstly, a 20-bar watertight power supply module (the LSP Pack) containing batteries and a management card<\/p>\n
- secondly, a line of high-characteristic electroluminescent wire coiled on a reel or, on request, on a diving reel. The wire is connected\/disconnected by means of an appropriate knurled connector.<\/p>\n
The wire segments on offer are all interchangeable, ranging from 20m to 200m with a cable diameter of 4, 5 or 8 mm, so you can modulate the robustness and length of the electroluminescent wire. The reel is sized for the maximum length of wire required.<\/p>\n
The high mechanical characteristics of the assembly make it extremely robust in use, transport and storage.<\/p>\n
Depending on the operating mode, continuous or flash, and the length of the segment of wire used, the operating time varies from 3 to 6 hours. Longer operating times are available. The battery charge indicator is an LED, and the ON-OFF, CONTINUOUS and FLASH controls are 3-position rotary switches. The external rapid charger can be used on an AC 90-220V mains supply or, on request, on a 12V DC supply, and is plugged into a connector on the pack module; when the battery is charged, it switches off automatically.<\/p>\n
The wire is unwound and installed by simply pulling on it or by carrying the support. The end of the wire can be hooked onto the 80mm snap hook at the end of the cable. Winding is by crank. The cable can be partially unwound by locking the drum.
